SAE Asia offers an ITI(Inter Trans Insurance) all-risks insurance that covers all the riss your boxes may be exposed to during transit. Before the move, list all items and their respective replacement values. A fully insured removal is an important part of a stress-free move.
Even though our packers are professional and trained to carefully handle all your personal effects and household goods, damages are still part of the risks when moving. Insurance express is great for those who would like to save a little on insuring their goods. Insurance express however, is only available for local moves.
We can give your pet the best care possible, and we offer you the right pet travel insurance. Click the button below and have a look at the details.
Our all-risks insurance requests an exhaustive valued inventory to be provided by the client.
The declared values should be the “replacement” amounts: how much would it cost at destination to repair or replace the damaged goods?
The inventory should be exhaustive in the sense that the insurance is not selective. All the items that are part of the move should be declared and insured (the declared quantities can be approximate but close to reality).
The cost of the insurance will be a percentage of the total declared amount (between 1.5% and 3.5%, according to the type of move: local, domestic, international).
Our all-risks insurance coverage is as follows:
For more details, please require the insurance policy booklet from your personal removal consultant.
Here are the main exclusions from our all-risks insurance:
Mysterious Disappearance
"Mysterious Disappearance" refers to: mysterious shortage of contents when the packing &/or container shows no sign of disorder and without any exact evidence showing that it is due to theft, robbery or hijack, or other insured causes.
Owner Packed Goods
Any items packed by the owner and without inspection by the mover before the carton box is sealed, are classified as “Packed by Owner” (abbreviated as U20 or PBO). Any damage to or loss of goods in owner-packed cartons or packages is excluded from cover.
Consequential Loss
Our all Risk Protection Group Policy will not cover consequential loss (i.e. resulting losses) arising from the delay, damage or non delivery of your consignment. Loss of value and depreciation due to damage and/or after repair are excluded from the coverage.
Insurance is optional. In case you choose not to insure your move, our maximum liability is RMB800.00 (USD130.00), independently from the value of the damaged goods.
For a stress-free removal, we always advise to subscribe to our insurance.
In the unfortunate event that you need to make a claim for goods that have been damaged in transit please do the following:
Ensure that the due notice is given to your SAE Asia branch within 30 days from the date of delivery. Failure to notify us of this damage within the time limits specified will void coverage.
At the time of notification, it is important that you provide us with your job reference number, a list of the damages, and if necessary, photos of the goods damaged. You must also include an estimate of the total monetary damage, drawn up using the values of the items as they appear on your inventory.
Your declaration must be sent to the SAE Asia branch that performed the delivery by registered mail or email. If delivery was performed by one of our agents, please send your claim to the SAE Asia branch that invoiced you for the services.
Once you have sent the letter, you can complete your claim by sending us quotes for the repairs or replacement of the damaged items.
IMPORTANT: Per claim, a deductible of 100 USD for international move (250 USD for domestic / local move) of the loss amount whichever shall be higher for each and every loss will be applied.
