Earth Day is April 22nd! What is SAE Asia doing to protect our planet? First we have our long-standing RMB 300 Green Policy. If you have never heard of our RMB 300 Green Policy it works like this:
When you move with SAE Asia, if we leave five or fewer boxes in your home at the end of your move, we will refund you RMB 300. Pretty simple. What kind of impact does this have on the environment? See the image below.
In addition to the RMB 300 Green Policy, we’ve decided to take being green more seriously. This year we have also begun to support ‘Stand for Trees’. What is Stand for Trees?
Simply put, Stand for Trees is an organization dedicated to preventing deforestation in areas that would normally cut down forests to support their local economy.
Here at SAE Asia for every move, we donate $10 to Stand for Trees to prevent forests from being cut down and as a result saving 1 tonne of CO2 from being released into the atmosphere. This year we have already prevented 300 tonnes of CO2 from entering the atmosphere effectively reducing both our client’s and our own carbon footprint.
300 tonnes of CO2 is the equivalent of 300 flights from London to Tokyo or the removal of CO2 emissions for 60 cars for a whole year. Impressive.
